JHS members and their guests enjoy field trips throughout the year, to wonderful programs such as the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation, Reptile Discovery Center, Ashton Biological Preserve, and more. Often we are afforded special behind-the-scenes tours that are not accessible to the public.

JHS members are committed to promoting education and conservation of our native species through our love of our captive species. Our efforts have benefitted programs such as Ashton Biological Preserve, Turtle Survival Alliance, The Rattlesnake Conservancy, and Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation. We also volunteer at MOSH in Jacksonville, and provide education at reptile expos and events.
